Where do I start?... Ooh ok.. will start with `thousand apologies'.. for abandoning this blog too long.. Ade setahun?... dekat dekatlah tu.. Macam macam benda jadi.. bukan yg kecik kecik.. major things happened..

1. Found out I got pregnant... yipeee!!!
2. Had a smooth sailing pregnancy during first n second trimester
3. `Terover' smooth sailing pregnancy on the third trimester sampaikan baby decided to come out early. Yes.. he's a prem baby born at 31 weeks, but alhamdullillah he 's doing juz fine.

4. Ulang alik hospital to visit n breastfeed my baby. Mase ni felt so hollow n empty inside coz he's has always been inside of me but now takde... rase lonely yg amat sangat.
5. Admitted to paed ward to be with my baby until he's strong enuf to be home.
6. Brought back my baby...
7. My life as a mummy begins..
8. Back to work... panic coz baby doesnt want to drink EB fr bottle despite weeks of successfull training with grandma. Refused to drink n skipped 3 sessions.
9. Quit my job to take care of him.

Through out my 5 years with Flavours, Christmas is juz like any other working days...coz this the time where we had to rush for January issue. I guess it's allright since we get to have a long break in January..but it does get lonely sumtimes in the office.. Any how, this year I managed to slip in a last minute Xmas cuppies order for Nitha. I hope she enjoys it as much as I 've enjoyed doing it. Baking is my exciting and adventurous therapy to my `sumtimes' monotonous boring life ;). So I have decided to fully utilise my 2 week break in Jan for more exciting baking projects. Tata for now. xoxoxo

I wanted almost everything in the shop..kikikiki..managed to get some cool stuff fr there( silicone bakewares, books etc) n I'm already planning my next visit....

These smally cuppies are made as a wedding cake for Effa's sister. The theme colour for this wedding is purple and gold. As we were setting up the cuppies stand, (both me & Annie) were sucked into `wedding mode" coz we were humming the `orang kawin' songs that are played. Annie started to goyang2.. hahahha. There's something about weddings that makes everyone happy.. It made us sooo happy that we decided to go for a karaoke session to treat ourselves after all the hard work we've done. Ehhehhe....

My second wedding project, for Effa's sister, (first would be Judy's organic soap favour). We (the lalaland gals) had loads of fun and several frantic moments while doing this. Very special project bcoz its for a very dear dear friend of mine.

These are made for Miz Nashua's daughter for her class party. Earlier I also baked a batch for her son's class party as well (no pics coz I was rushing and forgot to take pics.) But one thing I learned, never rush a project, always take ample time to come up with best results. I take it as a learning process n hopefully I will have better results next time.

This is my fourth/fifth attempt. I still need to practice my piping skills but the cake turn out better than the last one, thanks to peacock who shared his recipe with me. Both me and Annie had fun making these. :) There's another big project coming our way next week. Insyaallah everything will go smoothly...and better cuppies! See ya.

Yesterday was a very confusing and topsy turvy day. It started with a dodgy phone call for mr.hubs that got everyone riled up. A promising business deal that sounds too good too be true and in the end turn out to be bogus. In the middle of carrying on with this deal, Mr Hubs and gang nearly got robbed. If it had'nt be for abg Aloy's alertness, they would have lost all the money. With all the bad incidents that have happened, I'm THANKFULL to ALMIGHTY ALLAH that Mr Hubs and gang are safe. SAFETY IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY. Syukur alhamdullillah. Amin

In my last post, I kinda made it clear that I hate raya... after all the chaos it was not as horrible as I've imagine. Soli. Raya - minus the chaos and craziness was pretty simple and quiete for me. My parents came to sleep over and spend two nights at my place, which is nice. I'm all out to help and make sure that my parents doesnt have to lift a finger during raya..tapi dah terbalik kot coz I yg nyaris jadi gila coz nak sangat jadi `supergirl'. Tapi takpelah..once a year je. Here are some photos taken during raya at my house with my family... Selamat hari Raya everyone...

I hate raya. I hate to run around like a headless chicken trying to finish my errands. There's always gazillion things to do... this is the price I pay for being the only daughter. Dont get me wrong... I dont hate the whole idea of raya but just some certain parts of it.

1. The running around...
2. Try running around between a few houses.
3. Dishes that you have to cook but cant eat.
4. Arguing whose house we should visit first.
5. Ordering kuih raya in advance, but no kuih.
6. Order lain dapat yg lain.
7. Accidently bought the wrong sizes baju for my nieces.
(Cant help it..they'll always be small in my eyes)
8. Cleaning house
9. Try working with `gestapo' breathing down your neck

Tempted!

There I was yesterday in Carl's Junior, standing in line to get a burger. In a normal circumstances it's practically harmless right..but in my case, I've just break fast at Johnny's Steamboat. Minutes after having a hearty meal, I've decided to have a burger to be shared with Mr Hubs. Gluttony kicked in ... n that's how I got in line in Carl's. Mr Hubs is too busy talking to his friend to notice that I've slipped away to fullfill my `nafsu mamam'. Kalau dia tau mesti I dah kena marah beb! He'll start nagging...and that itself will spoil my appetite... tapi dia tak perasan..muahahahh muahahahh!

3 customers in front of me...so ..`Great! I can slowly decide which of the lovely burgers to mamam..hheheh.. Alamak banyak nyer..which one aaa? ok headache oledi.. `Cepatlah decide nanti Mr. Hubs datang..nanti nganga...' Then i finally decided that I want a portobello mushroom burger...yes..er wait..the chicken with cheese and bacon also looks good. Everything looks good... tender beef with fresh lettuce, mushrooms and cheese melting. Then I started to feel guilty... knowing that all my effort to `eat, live & be healthy' going down the drain. When the guilt sets in... my legs automatically moved n I got out of Carl's. Bye bye sweet Carl's....bye bye burgers...mushrooms..cheeses... Maybe I'll set an appointment for us to meet... say about in February next year ...I'll try to squeeze you in between my meetings with Miz NL in the future. Now ..where is that tako tao stall...?

Sweet Mr. Hubs

Sweet Mr Hubs has taken me out for a reunion with my long lost friend Miss NL aka `nasi lemak' at Pak Li's kopitiam near our place for a birthday treat. It was a sweet reunion as I have not keeping in touch with Miss NL for a very long time.

I had a surgery last June, (one of those thing that I had to endure as part f my plan to conceive :( )

Ever since that I've been put on a strict diet n had no contact with Miz NL or yg sekumpulan dengan nye. Very very seksa ... coz I love my food. All the medicine has affected my tastebuds and my will to cook. Sorry Mr Hubs.... I dah jadi malas giler.. Hopefully things will change for the better.

Anyway thanks Mr Hubs for the lovely dinner and maybe we can arrange for me to meet up with Miz NL soon ... say about another 3 months...hahhah..I hope so...bolelaaaa...

As you can see..Mr Hubs is a litle bit of a rocker ( rock kapak) himself. He somehow managed to get Awisz to call him a ROCKSTAR. Hissshhhh. And err...that's me..the traditional wive..hahhah so not! I'm actually wearing pants with that kebaya..easier for me to lari or silat later....

Guess who I bumped into at the gynea's

This was taken way back in May. I was at Primanora to see my gynea and guess who shares the same gynea?! Tara! KRIS DAYANTI. She is as beautiful as ever, kechik je orangnyer... She was very friendly...like an old buddy. I know it's poyo but I juz had to tell her `I love u!' hehehhe... and her reply was `saya jugak kok'...

Surprise party for Annie

We've decided to do something nice for Annie's birthday this year, so I've persuaded Kak Lyza to join me. It turn out quite nice and the look on Annie's face made it all worth it.

Our menu consist of delicious and superb lasagna fr kak Lyza, tuna sandwhich, coffee tart, Vanilla coffee birthday cake and some other additional food.. Oh... Kak Lyza also brought `pengat durian'.. Not forgetting Kak Lyza's magic punch `concoction' , which I've forgotten what's inside... tapi tersangatlah refreshing.

So kita pun berangan angan nak set up a company which specialize in surprise party. Our tagline was Anywhere, Everywhere & Anytime. Be it at the bus stop, blakang rumah...you name it...hahhah..minimum person we'll cater is as small as 2 person with reasonable prices. Chewahhhh.....

Fahmi's Plum Pudding

This is Fahmi's cute and adorable niece Nadya. She's only two..er I think..but she's our plum pudding. She loves to eat..hheheh juz like me..Unfortunately... she lives in Jakarta with her maternal grandma. We get to see her during festive seasons when her grandma comes down for a visit. A very bubbly girl. As u can see she's also into acting; mimicking Ronald Mcdonald is her latest forte'. We miss u girl... come back n visit us soon.

Introducing 3 most important little beings in my life, Aha, Awisz and Zsas (including few other people) They dont actually belong to me, they belong to my brother. I love them dearly, each has their own character and funny side to them. To them I'm their Aunty XXXX, who always buying presents and asking them loads of question. Sometimes they wonder why I'm being such reporter going around asking them what they've been up to, what they eat...I juz miss them a lot when they're not around, almost as if I did not want to miss any phase in their life... If only they knew how much this aunty loves them...muah muah muah!

I finally went for the decorating class..Yipee!!!. Although it's only a 2 hours workshop but it was fun. We learned how to make a baby booty, a 5 petal flower and we also get to learn to decorate using fondant. I will need to practise more on how to control pressure during piping. Not easy woiii...hahah. Everytime I went to the ICCA I'll spend hours in the baker supply shop. I bought a flower and butterfly cookie cutter...gosh they have so many things there ..it made my head spinning. Gila..semua aku nak ok.. I guess now I can start experimenting...wohooo.. Tapi since raya is juz around the corner I'll have to abandon my projects untill after raya..Hopefullly I'll have various sample from my experiment for next blogging session...
